Lo!  You have reached the Levelord's home page.  This page is under construction. It is, in fact, a living document.  Growing and breathing and pulsating with the very life that is our gaming community.  Pulsing and throbbing and undulating to every poke and prod, every whip and whim that may... ...oh, sorry!

MARCH 2005

This time next week, about 19:30 Moscow time...

...I will be sipping vodka and noshing zakuska.  I will be watching the beautiful faces and listening to the conversations.  I will be smoking a nice Cuban cigar, and probably ordering a small round of caviar!

...in some pub or cafe in Moskva!

How can you not love Russia!  This is Lana, from Met Art's "Vantage" series by Andrey Slastyonoff.  Look at that face!  ...and everything else, of course!

Lucky Andrey!

Wow!  Going to battle in the olden days must have been a real bitch!  I mean, there's the face-to-face closeness of the fighting with swords and axes and arrows, ...but there was also the pain!

I'm a big pussy for pain, and I was reminded of this the other day while scrapping the loose gung from a new I Dream of Jeannie resin model I am making.  I was using a new Xacto knife (very sharp razor tool) and slipped and stuck the thing in my thumb all the way to the bone.  You know when you hit bone.

It was a small, small cut, ...but having gone so deep, it ached for days!  I can't imagine laying on some field with a sword's slash to the arm or an arrow head imbedded in my shoulder.

Holy sheep shit!  (picture is at 3D Realms in March of 1995)

It was ten years ago today when I first rolled into Garland, Texas to start working on Duke Nukem at 3D Realms!

It has definitely been a decade that seems to have gone by quickly (probably due to the time warped perspective of growing older), but it also seems like a LOOOOONG time when I try to remember all the things that have happened in ten years.

The question for me?  Would I do it again if I knew back then what I know now?  It is a question for me, ...even with all the ultracool things I have gained and enjoyed on the ride, ...it was a truly rough road to travel!
